A directly pressed or so called NFC juice consists of 100% fruit, which is processed into pure juice in the country of origin. Our suppliers must maintain the highest standards with regard to condition, flavour and quality of their fruit produce. Generally though, the description "NFC juice", provides no information about the further processing of the juice. It is possible to freeze the juice, and to thaw and bottle it months later. It can also be heated strongly for a long period so that it attains a shelf life of months or years even without refrigeration. Achieving a product life of more than 12 months by the use of heat treatment leads to a great loss in quality, with flavour and vitamin content suffering especially. A heat treated, NFC juice with a long shelf life has little in common with the original product.
The small difference
Our Paradise NFC juices are also warmed for the purpose of preservation. However, they are only warmed, like fresh, chilled milk and so gently that even experts find it difficult to tell the difference between our products and freshly squeezed juice.
