Some fruits, due to their high pulp or acid content, are not ideal for the production of NFC or concentrated juices. This is  particularly true of bananas, mangos, strawberries and peaches, which require the addition of water and sugar to make them drinkable. Carefully selected fruits are pureed by the producer and frozen into blocks. These blocks are later thawed and processed at our production centre.

Fruit nectars, dependent on the type of fruit, are defined by German law as requiring a minimum fruit content of between 25% and 50%. In order to guarantee the fullest fruit flavour however, we ensure a content of 50% to over 70%. Of course, there are nectars available which are made from fruits that would not normally require the addition of water or sugar. Oranges for example. These inferior nectars are produced purely for reasons of low cost, because water is still the cheapest raw product.
