With a market share of less than 1%, chilled juices are largely unknown in Germany. Their superiority in freshness and natural flavour are making them increasingly popular.
The difference between these fresh products and traditional juices is the extremely gentle pasteurisation process - similar to fresh milk from the chilled cabinet. Non chilled juices are heated at high temperatures for up to 20 minutes and are packed while still warm. Chilled juices are simply warmed gently for a few seconds, immediately cooled to +4 degrees centigrade and bottled. In this way the natural flavour is almost entirely preserved.
The Fresh Milk Principal
Ensuring that juice arrives at your table as fresh as possible requires a totally cold supply chain - from our production centre, via refrigerated vehicles and cold storage facilities to the chilled cabinet of your supermarket. This explains why the advantages of freshness and natural taste are a little more expensive when compared to traditional juices.
Chilled juices include juices from concentrate and fruit nectars. Fruit cocktails and mixed juice drinks also come under the heading. We are Germanys largest producer of chilled juices and we offer the full product range. You will find them exclusively in chilled cabinets, for example under our brand name of Paradise.
